ITINERARY

Day 1 

Today arrive and be picked up at the airport by our guides and enjoy a day tour of Luanda or an awesome nightlife odyssey if you like in case you arrive late and don't want to sleep. 

Overnight at our own accommodation.

Day 2: Luanda Tour

Explore the city of Luanda today with pricate guides and transfers throughout the day. Overnight in Luanda. 

Day 3: Luanda - Lubango

Depart this morning for the airport and the flight from Luanda to Lubango. Upon arrival check in to your hotel. Overnight in Lubango. 

Day 4: Explore Lubango

Pick up time: 8am

The next day we will start to take a tour of Lubango. Here we will visit some historic places like the government palace, cathedral, and a museum. After the visits, we will have a hearty lunch in one of the better restaurants in the city.  At the end of the day, we watch the sunset from the Cristo Rei (The Jesus Christ Statue like the one in Rio!) Overnight in Lubango. 

Day 5: Tundavala Slit

Pick up time: 9am

On this day we will visit the landscapes and waterfalls. We also visit today the Tundavala slit and the Cantapedra tundavala dwellers. Lastly, given timing we can make a stop if possible to visit the Boer's Graveyard. Overnight in Lubango. 

Day 6: Tribes from Lubango

Pick up time: 9 am

Today is a cultural tourism day when we will spend all day visiting local Angolan tribes. Overnight in Lubango. 

Day 7: Lubango to Namibe

Pick up time: 7 am

On this day we will continue our journey traveling to Namibe, located 1h:30min south of Lubango.

Namibe is a province of Angola with a climate that is very temperate and humid along the coast, at a tropical altitude, and presents vast deserts and semi-desert regions in much of the territory, contiguous with the Skeleton Coast of Namibia.

Starting our journey high in the mountains, we will pass for the most incredible overland experience driving down the curves of Serra Leba Mountain (the iconic images you always see of Angola with the winding mountain roads.) Around here we can see the awesome Oasis "O Arco", and the rock paintings of Tchitundulo. 

The desert of Namibe is one of the oldest deserts in the world

Its area is of approximately 2,000 km x 50-160 km. we also find the most famous and photogenic tribes there.

In terms of wildlife, you may be able to see snakes, Oryx’s, lizards, and a rare plant in the world only found in Namibe's desert, the welwitcha Mirabilis. Overnight in Namibe at a local lodge.

Day 8: Namibe to Benquela

Pickup time: Flexible morning

Depart Namibe this morning for Benguela. Today, we will ride around Acacias Rubras Park, visit the slavery museum, Populo church and have a seaside meal at terminus restaurant. Overnight Benguela.

Day 9: Benguela

Pick up time: 8:30 am

Today will involved an ocean boat tour and appreciate the coastal scenery in different views and take in narrations.  

Day 10: Lobito tour 

Pick up time: 10 a.m

Activities: visit the monuments and spend the day touring and end up relaxing on the beach at Restinga

Lobito is a small city of Benguela situated in the middle of the sea looking deceptively like an island, so pretty that cruise ships have started to call there in recent years very regularly.

Day 11: Safari

Pick up time: 9 am

Activities: a little safari in Chimalavera Park / Blue Bay

Duration: all day 

We will start to Blue Bay to take some pictures and enjoy the incredible view 

Next, we will head to Chimalavera Park 

Chimalavera is a natural small park founded in 1974 with an area of 150 km. there you can find primates, very elegant gazelles, and a huge variety of lovely birds for birdwatching.

Day 12: Return to Luanda

Depart for Luanda today.
